Terms of Service for Temp Mail

Last updated: March 2026

1. Scope and Acceptance

Temp Mailer ("Temp Mail", "we", "our") provides disposable email inboxes for short-lived use. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Temp Mail. By generating an inbox, loading our website, or using any related API, you confirm you are at least 16, have capacity to contract, and accept this agreement on behalf of yourself or your organization. If you disagree with any clause you must stop using the service immediately.

2. Nature of the Service

Temp Mail’s platform instantly issues random inbox addresses routed through rotating domains. Inboxes are read-only; we do not support sending messages. Messages, attachments, and verification links are delivered in real time and automatically expire after a short retention window. The service is intended for privacy protection, testing, and spam mitigation—not for mission-critical communications or long-term archiving.

3. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

You agree to use the service responsibly and will not:
• violate laws or third-party terms when using an inbox;
• automate bulk creation of inboxes to attack websites, APIs, or infrastructure;
• send, forward, or host malicious code, phishing flows, or content that harasses, threatens, or defames others;
• try to deanonymize other users, probe our infrastructure, or interfere with monitoring, throttling, or rate limits.
We may immediately suspend addresses associated with abuse signals, law-enforcement takedowns, or excessive resource usage.

4. Temporary Inbox Behavior and Data Handling

Temporary inboxes exist only for the active browser session or until they expire per the retention timers shown in the interface. Addresses are public by design; anyone who knows the address can read the inbox. Do not use Temp Mail to receive confidential, personal health, financial, or legal data. Deleted messages cannot be restored, and we are not responsible for lost verification codes or backups.

5. Privacy, Security, and Compliance

We apply privacy-by-design principles: we do not require sign-ups, we strip personal identifiers from logs, and we only keep aggregated telemetry needed to operate and secure the platform. Limited security metadata (IP heuristics, spam fingerprints, abuse reports) may be temporarily retained to prevent fraud. We aim to comply with global privacy frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA; see our Privacy Policy for details. We never sell personal data.

6. Availability, Maintenance, and Changes

Temp Mail is provided on a best-effort basis. We may throttle, rate-limit, or reclaim inboxes to protect the platform. Planned maintenance or emergency fixes may happen without notice. We may modify or discontinue any feature, domain, or integration at any time.

7. User Content and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for content you access through your temporary inbox. We do not vet incoming messages and do not guarantee they are safe, accurate, or lawful. If you forward content elsewhere, you must ensure you have the right to do so and that you comply with the destination service’s rules.

8. Integrations and Third-Party Services

Our site and emails may include links to third-party services (for example verification providers, download hosts, or advertising partners). Those services are governed by their own policies, and their availability or conduct is outside our control. Using Temp Mail to interact with a third party does not create any partnership or endorsement.

9. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, branding, UI components, copy, and software that power Temp Mail remain the exclusive property of their respective owners. You may not reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or build derivative services that misrepresent an affiliation with us without written consent.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided ‘as is’ without warranties of availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation. Temp Mail, its operators, and contributors shall not be liable for lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or indirect damages arising from use of disposable inboxes, even if advised of the possibility.

11. Indemnification and Governing Law

You agree to indemnify and hold Temp Mail harmless from claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of third-party rights. These terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence unless a mandatory law requires otherwise, and disputes shall be resolved before competent courts with appropriate jurisdiction.

12. Updates to These Terms

We may update these terms to reflect product, legal, or security changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” line and, where required, provide additional notice. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Contact and Support

For questions, abuse reports, or legal inquiries, contact us via the form on our Contact page or the email listed there. We respond to legitimate requests as quickly as possible and may request additional information to verify your identity.
